Hey Reader,

We’re hitting send on this one a little later than usual, but for good reason: this past month has been a whirlwind of problem-solving, partnership-building, and preparing for a surge in local need.

As many of our neighbors begin to lose access to their SNAP (food stamp) benefits, we’ve pivoted quickly to meet the moment and your support is making it possible.

October Recap

📦 Responding to SNAP Benefit Loss

Thanks to quick work and prayerful partnership, we’ve built a new response plan to help families losing access to food benefits.
Instead of working directly with families, we’re now partnering with family case workers from a larger organization (name withheld for privacy) who fill out custom request forms and coordinate pickups with us. This lets us serve more families with dignity and efficiency.

🧡 Thursday Resource Hub Still Going Strong

We’ve averaged 32 guests each Thursday at our Hub, with new neighbors joining us weekly.

This month alone we distributed:

  • 👕 300+ lbs of clothing
  • 🧴 620+ hygiene items at the Hub
  • ➕ An additional 219 lbs of clothing to partners like Star House and Shining Starz

🧱 New Pantry Pad is In!

The concrete pad for our upgraded outdoor free pantry is officially poured and in place! Once signage is complete, we’ll launch the new pantry structure and make it available to our neighbors. Stay tuned!

November News

This month, we’re all in on food work and continuing to strengthen our Thursday Resource Hub.

Help Build our Food Program!

  • 🍎 Volunteer for our new Food Box Packing Party, happening every Sunday at 1PM (after second service) starting Nov 16 and running indefinitely.
  • 💵 Donate to our Emergency SNAP Fund at lifevineyardchurch.com/give
    • One-time gifts are amazing.
    • Monthly recurring gifts are even better—so we can build a consistent, budgeted food program beyond this emergency season.

🛒 Big Vision: No More Food Bank Dependency
We’ve begun conversations with local grocery stores and are working to build intentional partnerships. Our prayer? That someday we won’t need to rely on food banks or grants—but will instead have sustainable community support to meet every need.

🦃 Thanksgiving Event Coming Soon!

We’re currently in the works of planning a Thanksgiving celebration for our neighbors—full of warmth, food, and fellowship.

📣 Details coming very soon, but in the meantime: start setting aside a little extra time and love—we’re going to need both!
