Hey Reader, May was the month our systems started carrying us — and the month one of our neighbors stepped into the waters of baptism on a Thursday afternoon. We spent most of the month settling in. Our new check-in and tracking system has become the backbone of the Thursday Resource Hub. Our new Serve Portal at life2cbus.org/serve is up and running (a lot of you have already created accounts — thank you). And life2cbus.org is finally live. It's not 100% finished yet, but the bones are there, and we're proud of it. Then, in the middle of all that infrastructure work, the Spirit did what only the Spirit can do. May RecapBecause we now have real tracking in place, this is the first month I can give you these numbers with real confidence. Every one of these came from a logged check-in:
A steady, faithful month. The kind we want to be able to reproduce every month going forward. A First-Ever Thursday Baptism 💧A regular member of our Thursday Resource Hub said yes to baptism — right then, right there, on a Thursday. So we did it. It was our first-ever Thursday baptism, and we don’t think it’ll be the last. Check out the video below of that! June NewsNothing wildly new this month — and that's intentional. June is about rhythm. Showing up. Doing the thing. We just need you in the rhythm with us. 🚚 Resource Drops — Friday, June 26 (2:00–4:00 PM)This is where we need the most help this month. One driver picks up clothing donations from the church (620 Alum Creek Dr) and delivers them to one of our partner org's. Easy. Family-friendly. Roughly 1 hour, start to finish. If you've been looking for an on-ramp into LIFE2Cbus, this is the easiest yes we offer. 📦 Food Box Delivery — Thursday, June 18 (2:00–5:00 PM)Some of our neighbors can't come to us, so we go to them. We need drivers to pick up packed food boxes from the church and deliver them directly to families who are homebound or facing barriers to getting out. This is hands-on, heart-forward service that makes a real difference at someone's front door. 👉 Sign up for Food Box Delivery 🎤 Still want you in the Vision + Commission conversationIf you missed the Vision + Commission Gathering, please don't skip past it. This is the clearest picture I've shared all year of where LIFE2Cbus is going.
