Hey Reader,

February stretched us — in faith, in courage, and in preparation. We stepped toward a hard issue with open hands, and I’m incredibly proud of how this community responded. While the immediate pressure has shifted, the call remains the same: be ready, be faithful, be organized, and love our neighbors well.

🚗 Immigration Response Mobilized

Last month we put out a call for:

• 🚘 Delivery drivers
• 🏠 Families willing to explore fostering if children were separated

And you responded.

• 6 drivers signed up
• 7 families signed up to learn more about fostering
• 14 food boxes already delivered to families

That’s incredible.

Due to a federal judge blocking the removal of TPS protections for Haitians, we are no longer expecting the heavy ICE surge we feared. We thank the Lord for that pause.

But the fight is not over.

What we gained is time — time to build structure, create training pathways, and prepare wisely. Things are moving behind the scenes.

We’re not scrambling. We’re preparing.

🧺 Tangible Needs Met

Even in the midst of planning, the regular work kept moving:

• 🧴 285 hygiene items distributed
• 👕 202 lbs of clothing shared
• 🧥 21 winter coats given
• 🧺 We received a washer AND dryer! (Huge answer to prayer 🙌)

🛍️ Free Store Redesign Complete

We also completed the full redesign of our 2nd floor Free Store, open during Thursday Resource Hub.

Now equipped with:

• Professional shelving for hygiene + clothing
• Fresh paint
• New wallpaper
• Clean, organized layout

The goal? To allow our neighbors to shop with dignity, not just receive assistance.

And it’s beautiful.

💍 Wedding for our Houseless Friends

We were blessed to be able to hold a wedding for an unhoused couple that has been a part of this community for almost a year!

March News

We’re looking forward to continuing the amazing work of bringing LIFE to Columbus.

But this month has a different emphasis: structure.

For a season, we’ve been wonderfully spontaneous. But now it’s time to build systems that allow this work to be:

• Sustainable
• Multipliable
• Reproducible
• Long-term

We’ll be hosting a Teach-In Meeting soon where everyone will be invited to help shape the future structure of this organization.
